Details

Due to the annual Daffodil Parade, the book club will meet at 2:00 pm this month only.

Please join the Tacoma LGBTQ Book Club for a book discussion of The Life and Death of Sophie Stark by Anna North.

This book club is open to anyone interested in reading books focusing on LGBTQ themes and authors. This club is open to everyone regardless of how they identify. We are all-inclusive without restrictions on gender or sexual orientation.

We meet the second Saturday of each month at 2:00 pm at the O.R.C. (Oasis and Rainbow Center). Street parking is available on Pacific Avenue and on South 22nd ST. There is also a small parking lot next to the building.

Please note: The Rainbow Center is closed on the weekends. Either myself or the co-facilitator will be there to let you in.

Books are available for purchase at King’s Books at a 15% discount. King’s is located at 218 St. Helens AVE, 253-272-8801. Copies are also available for checkout from the Tacoma Public Library and the Pierce County Public Library.

In addition to distinct Oasis and RC space, the O.R.C. features a shared community room, a kitchen, meeting areas, and more. Oasis is a drop-in, resource, and support center for LGBTQ youth ages 14-24 and RC is the community’s all-ages LGBTQ and Allied center.
