Qigong Meditation for Stress Relief
Stress!! They say some stress is good because it stretches us and gives us opportunity for growth, but it seems we're all super-stressed out or crazy-busy these days. More and more we're looking for ways to slow down and reconnect with ourselves, if only for a few minutes here and there during the day. Come learn some Qigong techniques for doing just that. There are many styles and forms of Qigong - some sitting, some moving and some standing ~ such as Iron Shirt Qigong, which was originally designed for Chinese warriors. I'll be offering 3 types of Qigong rotating them as follows: Nov 5 ~ Inner Smile meditation & The Microcosmic Orbit (to relax and recharge your Qi) Nov 12 ~ Iron Shirt Qigong, a standing meditation for strengthening your core Nov 20 ~ The Six Healing Sounds, featuring Lung, Kidney and Liver Nov 27 ~ The Six Healing Sounds, featuring Heart, Spleen/Stomach & Torso Triple Heather Dec 3 ~ Inner Smile meditation & The Microcosmic Orbit (to relax & recharge your Qi) Dec 10 ~ Iron Shirt Qigong, a standing meditation for strengthening your core Dec 17 ~ The Six Healing Sounds, full form The classes are for beginners and experienced meditators or yoga practitioners alike. I've designed the classes to either stand alone or be taken out of sequence, so there's no pressure to take them in any particular order. After all, it's about stress relief. If you have any questions about the classes, please feel free to email me at [masked] Wear comfortable clothes you can move in easily and bring a bottle of water. * * * * * * * $30 at the door - to register please email: [masked] $27 when you register in advance through Eventbrite:[masked] OR purchase a package directly from LinDel: 2-pack for $50; 4-pack for $100

What we're about

This group (formerly called Stress Relief Meditation) is for anyone seeking to find ways to be more balanced, grounded and calm in today's hectic world through gentle movements, mental focus and sound. The tools I offer include a short form of Tai Chi as well as various forms of seated, standing or moving Qigong (a Chinese term which means "energy practice"). Qi (or chi) is our life force energy that runs within and around our body and energy field - today's scientists call this our electromagnetic field.

For beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
