Details
A $10 donation is requested and greatly appreciated! Monies will pay for dog adoption fees during our Nov/Dec "A Home for the Holidays" giveback campaign. Each donation will allow you to pick your own special pup for sponsorship and photo! We have set a goal of 100 dogs to help clear the kennels.

The ASPCA indicates (https://www.aspca.org/about-us/faq/pet-statistics) that of the roughly 3.9 million dogs entering shelters per year, approximately 31% are euthanized. In some urban areas these numbers run as high as 78%.
Be a part of reducing euthanasia rates by hiking with local homeless hounds. Socialization and exercise can reduce kennel related stress and anxiety and improve a shelter dog’s behavior, thus extending their lives!

Tails of the Trail invite you to hike with shelter dogs for a couple hours of exercise and companionship. We're partnering with Montgomery County Animal Control (https://www.mcgtn.org/animal-control) and we'll hike the pups on the paved pathways around the general shelter area. It will total about 1.0 mile which we may walk twice for the larger dogs or we will walk each loop with one furry friend followed by a pup swap to hike with a second one.
