Hike Shelter Dogs from Metro Animal Care & Control (6/01/19)

Details
A $10/pp donation is greatly appreciated and will be collected at check-in via cash, check or credit card. Thanks for your support of our nonprofit organization!
The ASPCA (https://www.aspca.org/about-us) indicates that of the roughly 3.9 million dogs entering shelters per year approximately 31% are euthanized. In some urban areas these numbers run as high as 78%.
Be a part of reducing euthanasia rates by hiking with local homeless hounds! Socialization and exercise can reduce kennel related stress and anxiety and improve a shelter dog’s behavior, thus extending their lives!

Tails of the Trail invite you to hike with shelter dogs for a couple hours of exercise and companionship. We're partnering with Metro Animal Care & Control (MACC) (https://www.facebook.com/MetroAnimalCare) and we'll hike the furry pups on the Mill Creek Greenway (https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?t=h&hl=en&msa=0&z=16&ie=UTF8&mid=1JSp0wN0cpa7Wccuf0BtdNr2dCv8&ll=36.08938357424984%2C-86.680565) adjacent to the shelter. The Greenway features an easy, paved trail for a total of 2.25 miles. Distance will vary based upon Summer temperatures.
