Talkabot is BACK in 2017 for the new year! Come discuss bots, conversational software and messaging with the Austin bot community.
SPEAKERS THIS MONTH:
Tricia Katz, Mutual Mobile (https://mutualmobile.com/)
Have a bot but don’t know which platform to launch? Why choose? These web and mobile engineers at Mutual Mobile show how you can use web APIs to botify web and native apps of your own and break those platform constraints!
Eric Soelzer, Howdy (https://howdy.ai/)
Learn how to create your own Slack app! Eric, Product Manager at Howdy (creators of Botkit (https://github.com/howdyai/botkit)), will demonstrate how you can get a new Slack app stood up in minutes using Botkit and Gomix (http://gomix.com), a web-based code editor that also provides instant hosting.
David Bradley, Patterns in the Cloud (http://patternsinthecloud.com/)
David and the Patterns team has been developing solutions for automating replenishment of physical goods known as "autoship" or "product subscriptions" for the past 2 years and are developing a service to work with conversational consumer experiences.
Please note the change of venue. January's meetup will be held at the Mutual Mobile offices in downtown Austin. Mutual Mobile is at 206 E. 9th Street (in the Capital Tower building). The building directory and Mutual Mobile's address would lead you to the 14th floor...but ignore that!
We'll be meeting on the 15th floor in the break room. Just push 15, hop out of the elevator, and go north through the double doors.
Parking: Street parking will be your cheapest option, and shouldn't be too hard to find at that time of day. There are also a number of lots and garages nearby, including in the Capitol Tower building where Mutual Mobile is located.
Many thanks to this month's sponsors!
