Expedition to the Gulf of Mexico
Join us for an exciting adventure at the Florida State University Coastal and Marine Laboratory! This opportunity will blow your mind! You, as members of TSS, are invited to a full day of exploration of sea life on the water for a half-day followed by an afternoon in the lab to further investigate the specimens collected on the boat. As many of you know, FSUCML is a jewel on the nearby coast at St. Teresa Beach. They conduct research to optimize marine management and conservation by studying sea creatures in their habitats. Our group will meet at the Publix in Crawfordville and be transported to the Marine Lab via an FSU van. Additional information will be provided. While this is a “free” event, we encourage you to make a **donation **to TSS of $50. Priority in participation of the outing is reserved for members of Tallahassee Scientific Society. Consider joining here if you are interested in supporting our mission to promote scientific literacy in our community.
