Android & Augmented Reality

In cooperation with our sister group, GDG Sun Coast, we're co-hosting this meetup, which is going to be covering computer vision & Android. Joey deVilla is coming to talk to us about Android and Computer Vision. Recently Joey wrote an Android app that uses the device’s cameras to recognize facial features and draws Snapchat-like features on people’s faces. If you're interested in computer vision, Android or how to detect objects in the camera's data stream and layer additional assets on top of them (like snapchat filters) into your app you should definitely plan on attending this one! Joey deVilla is a great developer that lives in the Tampa area and he's worked at some big time companies. He runs a blog called Global Nerdy and always carries an accordion. He's a great speaker and I strongly encourage you to check out his blog, follow him on social media and definitely come to this meetup.
