Angular Meetup - Introduction to AngularDart

Details

Network with other IT professionals in the Tampa bay area who want to learn Angular or already love working with Angular and share tips and tricks to get the most out of your Angular apps!

In this meetup, our presenters Roberto Aballe and Zev Butler, will be introducing us to AngularDart, a web app framework that focuses on productivity, performance, and stability.

About AngularDart

Hundreds of Google engineers use AngularDart to build the sophisticated, mission-critical apps that bring in much of Google’s revenue.

It is a leaner, meaner version of the Angular framework. A number of conventions, services, and other code is part of Angular only to fill in JavaScript’s gaping holes in functionality. Things like the HTTP service and other big add-ons like RxJS are unnecessary in AngularDart, because the language and core libraries have it all covered.

Angular is a framework that embraces OOP, and Dart is a much more natural object-oriented language, having been designed from the ground up that way. By contrast, the OOP properties of modern JS and TS feel like something that's been stapled onto more functional underpinnings. Incidentally, Dart is no slouch when it comes to supporting a functional programming style, as that was also part of the language’s original design.

We have networking and food from 6:00PM to 6:30PM with the presentation starting at 6:30PM.
