Topic: Introduction to Azure SQL Datawarehouse

What is Azure SQL DW? Why use Azure SQL DW? What are some of the advantages of Azure SQL DW? These are some of the questions we will answer during this presentation. In addition, we will go through some hands-on examples of using Azure SQL DW; loading data, querying data, visualizing data.

Speaker: Miguel Cebollero

Miguel Cebollero is Senior Consultant at Microsoft, that has been working with SQL Server since version 6.5. He has experience as an enterprise database architect, database manager, database administrator and database developer for mission critical systems at Fortune 500 and public sector clients. Miguel is a regular speaker at local, regional and national conferences on various database topics. He has been an avid volunteer, chapter leader and contributor of the Professional Association for SQL Server Users (PASS) since 2000. He is a lifelong learner with a BS, The University of Tampa and an MSc, The University of North Carolina Greensboro. Above all Miguel is a father and husband to a beautiful family that drives his ambition. Biking, the beach, reading and time with family fulfill his life outside of work.
