Blockchain & Real Estate: Featuring DomiDocs

100 5th St S

Join BlockSpaces for our monthly Blockchain & Real Estate meetup for the 1st time in Downtown St Pete, Bank OZK Innovation Lab, as we welcome South Florida startup, DomiDocs. From asset management and investments to operating and management companies, blockchain could potentially have a profound impact across real estate. That is evidenced by the number of companies that are already emerging with their feet firmly planted in blockchain, ready to take on the new landscape of transacting real estate investments. Access to deals, the amount of time it takes to close, property title mistakes, high fees and fraud bog down the real estate industry. It is the largest asset class in the world and has had minimal innovation in the way of increased efficiency during transactions. Blockchain poses major opportunities for innovation in real estate. This meetup is for software developers, engineers, technologists, researchers, entrepreneurs and relevant real estate stakeholders interested in understanding applications of blockchain technology for commercial and residential real estate. The session will take place on April 25, 2019 and will include an explanation of the history and basic concepts of blockchain and where it fits into the real estate and title industry. We’ll also cover other blockchain use cases and the future outlook of the technology, as well as the regulatory climate and potential barriers to entry. Special Guest: DomiDocs: DomiDocs™ “Domicile Documents” is working to become the leading source of secure, cloud-based historical records on 126 million residential properties in the United States. By providing an easy, secure and trustworthy platform for records, homeowners will have searchable, shareable and permanent digital documents to generate a true cost basis and accurate market value. Applying AI to the records we will provide recommendations to homeowners.

FullStack Fast: Frontends with Ionic

Bank of the Ozarks' Innovation Lab

Software development is focused on building prototypes quickly, and being able to build all layers of the application (full-stack). This meetup will focus on different tools and techniques for accelerating your venture into fullstack development. Every meetup will be a complete lesson on an individual perspective of the fullstack, so we anticipate future meetups for backend, frontend, devops, automation, code generators, and architecture. During this meetup (2 hrs), we will focus on Ionic v4, and during this session, we will start with a data model, create a web application, test the web application in the Ionic Lab, and then package the application as a native Android app. We will also take a brief review of the Ionic components and UI / UX framework. A cheatsheet will be provided to help you with your own future Ionic projects. Look forward to seeing you all there!
