Join us as we get to know the always funny host of Center for Inquiry’s Point of Inquiry podcast and the upcoming web series Skeptical Inquirer Presents, Leighann Lord. Leighann will sit down with CFI’s outreach department to talk about her comedy, activism, and trajectory in the freethought movement.

Leighann Lord (Ph.D, honorary) is a veteran stand-up comedian and the author of several humor books including Dict Jokes and Real Women Do It Standing Up. She is the creator of the People with Parents podcast (where she talks about the role reversal between adult children and aging parents); and is a former co-host on StarTalkRadio,with Neil de Grasse Tyson.

Leighann has been seen on Comedy Central, HBO, and The View, and was recently seen on Netflix in the Def Comedy Jam25th Anniversary Special. She was a national finalist in the American Black Film Festival-HBO Comedy Wings Competition and received the 2019 Humanist Arts Award from the American Humanist Association.

Leighann is currently a co-host for Point of Inquiry, the podcast for the Center for Inquiry and is hosting CFI’s Skeptical Inquirer Presents virtual Lecture series. She is the creator of the new YouTube show, “Hanging In There with Leighann Lord”and has a daily social media post called #LightheartedHistory, which takes a humorous, tongue and cheek approach to random events in history.
