Hosted by Center for Inquiry, Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason & Science, Center for Inquiry Tampa Bay, and 3 others.

For the next CFI Insider, we welcome Eddie Tabash, Constitutional Lawyer and Chair of CFI's Board of Directors, for a timely discussion on the history of the US Supreme Court, the true meaning of Separation of Church and State, and how this foundational principle has been defined and damaged by SCOTUS rulings over the years.

Attendees are encouraged to download this handout for reference during the event: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_sPa1flb_QyaQFspTHDZIjw

Edward “Eddie” Tabash is a Constitutional lawyer in Los Angeles, California. He graduated magna cum laude from UCLA in 1973 and obtained his law degree from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 1976. Eddie is a member of the California State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association. Eddie is currently chair of the national legal committee of Americans United for separation of Church and State. He is the Chair of Center for Inquiry's Board of Directors and chair of the Council for Secular Humanism’s First Amendment Task Force. Tabash has filed amicus briefs with the United States Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court, and the California Court of Appeal in cases dealing with the separation of church and state. In addition to church state activism, Eddie has debated world famous Christian philosophers on the question of God’s existence, including William Lane Craig and Richard Swinburne. Eddie’s father was an orthodox rabbi from Lithuania and his mother an Auschwitz survivor from Hungary. After a lifetime of spiritual searching, he has concluded that the best evidence we have, to date, strongly points to a naturalistic universe in which there are no supernatural beings and no God or gods.

Please support our efforts with a donation or membership in CFI worldwide. The need in these dark times of superstition is critical. https://cfitampabay.org/get-involved/ Thanks you!
