Welcome to Japanese Class Week 6: Lesson 2 (＾▽＾)
We will continue chapter five of GENKI. This week's theme is "A Trip to Okinawa."
Let's talk about things we like and dislike with our friends in class! We will also learn about Japanese festivals, festival food and まつり culture. We will go over some useful expressions for going to the post office (an important lesson for anyone interested in living in Japan!!)

These classes are designed to teach you the basics of Japanese language and culture! This course is perfect for anyone with an interest in in Japanese media (anime, manga, music, games, etc.), traditional cultural arts such as tea ceremony, or international business. This class will be especially useful for those who hope to one day travel, study or work in Japan.
The classes will use the popular GENKI Textbook series. GENKI is a comprehensive approach to developing the four basic language skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) and cultivate overall Japanese-language ability. Emphasis has been placed on balancing grammatical accuracy with conversational fluency.
There will be two classes each week for thirteen weeks. The first week is dedicated to learning hiragana and katakana (Japanese phonetic alphabets). The remaining weeks will focus on grammar, vocabulary, reading and conversation. At the end of the course we will have a graduation party to use our new language skills, eat Japanese snacks and celebrate!
By the end of the course you should be able to:

🍥 Have essential speaking and listening skills
🍥Grasp fundamental grammar
🍥Use conversational expressions
🍥Know about 700 vocabulary words

🍥Classes start Sunday March 10th and end Sunday June 9th
🍥Class times will be every Sunday at 5pm and Wednesday at 7pm

🍥The event fee for whole 13-week comprehensive course is $350 + GENKI textbook cost
