Designing and Developing Power Apps Portals
Details
Microsoft recently released Power Apps portals which make it possible to quickly build websites that reach anonymous users and authenticated users including employees, partners, vendors, and customers. The presentation for our December user group meeting begins with an overview of PowerApps portal architecture and explains how the Common Data Service is used to track the data required for creating and managing portal content including pages, navigation links, CSS styles and custom JavaScript code. The session then introduces the Liquid template language and examines the process of designing a PowerApps portal using Web Templates, Page Templates, Web Files, Web Links, Snippets and Web Pages. Attendees will learn how to get started writing Liquid layout code to display Entity Views, Entity Lists and Entity Forms for standard and custom entities. Along the way, attendees will also learn how to set up and work with the essential PowerApps portal developer tools including the Portal Management app and XrmToolBox.
