Topic: Aerial videography in eLearning

Unmanned Aircraft Systems provide great opportunities to present educational content in new and engaging ways, but how do we balance the use of aerial videography to support and not distract from learning? This presentation will go over how to implement aerial footage in the eLearning environment following instructional design methodologies and multimedia principles. We will also explore use cases and see examples of how drone footage has been used in nationally accredited online courses that are currently serving our community.

By the end of this presentation, you will be able to:

• Describe how UAS can be used to engage learners through educational content
• Identify video editing techniques used to provide high-quality content
• Identify ways drone footage can be used to facilitate learning in eLearning courses and describe when drone footage might not be the best media approach
• Discuss how you can use UAS to supplement content your company
