Myra Thiessen

Myra is a Florida-based artist - photographer who specializes in Fine Art Portraits and Weddings. She also runs Myra Thiessen Photography along with commissioned oil paintings. Myra has finessed the ability to combine the two concepts. The beauty of oil painting, with all the zest of real life photography. Her personal theory for photography is “it is the only medium that stops time, from the moment that the shutter is pressed and the image is captured; the image will never be repeated again with all the elements that are happening at THAT moment.” She finds that capturing a portrait the most rewarding as it allows her to capture the soul to to be passed down for generations to come.

She’s been published in many types of projects. Her interests vary from Fine art and Concept Portraits to Wedding Photography.
Her main goal is to capture their story from behind her lens.
