Security 101: Setting up a VM & Kali

Robert “RJ” Burney is a tinker of all things Cyber. He has enterprise level experience in a variety of cybersecurity disciplines including architecture, engineering, forensics, penetration testing, reverse engineering, networking, software development, malware analysis, and intelligence research. His works involve providing high level intelligence on cyber criminals and nation states in support of the FBI and other government agencies. He is an active supporter of the cYbor community initiative and a supporter of SOFWERX open source missions.
This weeks Meetup will build off last weeks talk on "Pedagogy of Hacking". This weeks topic will be a hands on introduction to Virtual Machines. We will install/setup a Virtual Machine (Virtual Box) and install/setup an operating system (Kali Linux) within this virtual environment. Please, bring your laptops as we kick off our inaugural Security 101 Meetup.
