This is a group for anyone that is interested in highly competitive dragon boat or SUP racing. Dragon Boat paddles, life jackets, and training is provided for those that want to learn Dragon Boat or SUP racing. The team has dragon boat practice 3 times a week (Tuesday/Thursday @ 6:30 pm and Saturday Mornings @ 8:00 am) at Rick's on the River in Tampa. Dragon Boat is a great competitive social sport, able to meet new people, make new friends, and win medals at races!!!

This is a membership based non-profit club and membership fee's are $20/month. This helps cover the cost of monthly boat storage at Rick's, Insurance, maintenance on the Dragon Boat and the Stand Up Paddle Board Fleet.  
We participate in 10 Dragon Boat races and 20 SUP races yearly. The team was founded in 2014 to really bring "community" back to the sport. Invictus strives to create a community culture through teaching the sport of Dragon Boat and SUP racing, as well as volunteering in our local community through several outreach projects . This team is captained by Jim Ellis, I've been dragon boat racing for 18 years and love to share my passion for paddling and fitness with new members that are interested in trying out.

The team is also partnered with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful (KeepTampaBayBeautiful.org). We participate in a several different events with KTBB yearly, we are members of their Ambassadors Program. Invictus is also the 1st Team/Organization in Tampa to adopt a part of the Hillsborough River Shoreline for quarterly clean ups. The shoreline clean ups consist of picking up litter on foot from the North Bridge to Columbus Bridge, along with a fleet of watercrafts to collect bottles/debris floating in the River. Invictus has been awarded the Service Project award in 2015 and the Champion of the Forest award in 2016 for our work in preserving the Hillsborough River, this is the highest honor presented by Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful. 
Along with our environmental projects, we also are involved in the following community events yearly: 
• World's Ocean Day - Largest Global clean up day
• Paddle 4 Autism - Assisting in teaching kids with Autism how to SUP 
• Make-a-Wish Foundation Fishing Tournament presented by RIPA & Associates
• Partner with KnottyGirl.org every Oct for Breast Cancer Awareness month
• Tampa Bay FireFighters Bi-Annual Fundraising event - Volunteer Staff
• Golf Tournament to benefit Heart Disease - Sponsored Hole and Volunteer
• Tropical Nights - Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful fundraiser
• Trashy Flashy Fashion Show presented by Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful
• Recycling Regatta - a 50 meter race with a home-made water craft made of 70% recycled material
