This kind of groups usually organized by someone who has something to sell or advertise to small business owners, like SEO specialists, marketing agencies and other people willing to tell you what to do to grow your business. Unfortunately, my experience showed me some of those "experts" who knows what to do for your business but never made any profit as a small business using the same strategy they offer.

I’ll try to organize it differently. I am a small business owner myself, and I have no interests in making money on members of this group. I run a company I’ve founded, and it generates enough income for my family.

My vision for this group is to become a local network for small business owners or people who have an idea to start one. I value experience more than bare knowledge and sharing this experience with other people who has a similar occupation seems like a good idea to me.

Most of the small businesses will share same common needs for online presence, marketing, and internet sales. You can be an “out of garage manufacturer,” retail seller,  restaurant or anything else – but you do want to have information about you to be readily available from any device connected to the internet. I’d like to know what you’ve tried already, what was successful and what failed. I’m happy to talk about my experience and share what I think is working and what’s just eating money and I think other small business owners in our city would benefit from having a drink with some other entrepreneurs who are willing to share their experience and knowledge.

I think we can organize three types of meetings:

1.  Informal lunch or drinks in some quiet restaurant or bar so we can chill out and talk about something smart – this kind of talk usually goes better with a glass.

2.  Visiting some of our members in their facilities (by invitation of course). It will help us to find clients for our business among our network.

3.  Going together to presentations and workshops. It’s pretty easy to get sold on something by “professional” if you’ve no clue how this field works but if we go as a group and share our opinions after that – this could make our marketing money smarter.

If you are a small business owner or planning to become one – you are welcome to register for any event in this group.

If you are some how’d like to offer product or service to small business owners – please contact group organizers, and we will schedule a presentation for you, but please: do not attend any meetings in this group without invitation.
