UPDATE ON AUGUST 24, 2021: I am leading small-group, moving qigong sessions via Zoom on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:15 PM Eastern Time.
At some point I might set a price for these Zoom classes, but for the time being there is no charge for these classes.
If you are interested in participating in these Zoom classes, please send me a private message and include an email address where you can receive a waiver form to fill out. After you fill out the form, I’ll send you the info on how to access the Zoom sessions and I’ll put you on the email list for weekly announcements about the times of the sessions. (Don’t worry: if you get on the email list and decide you want off of it, you can easily opt-out of future emails.)
I look forward to practicing qigong with you whenever the timing is right. May you and your loved ones all be safe and well.
This is a group for anyone interested in learning traditional Chinese body practices and meditations. Beginners are welcome!
Qigong is Chinese yoga and meditation that involves gentle but surprisingly effective ways of moving and caring for the mind and body. It uses low-impact exercises drawn from Daoism, Buddhism, traditional Chinese health practices, and Asian martial arts traditions.
Classes and workshops are led by Steven Geisz, Ph.D.
Steve is a graduate of the multi-year qigong-teacher-training program of Ken Cohen, a Certified Full Instructor in the Universal Healing Tao qigong system of Mantak Chia, and a 500-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT 500) who trained at the Kripalu Center in Massachusetts and the Lotus Pond Center for Yoga & Health in Tampa.
