Lots of communications going on these last few weeks with PASS regarding user groups and SQL Saturday's, with the health and safety of our members being the most important item during the COVID19 outbreak. In addition, the CDC has recommended no gatherings over 50 for the next eight weeks. We have received permission from PASS to offer user group meetings online during the outbreak, initially approved through June, but to be adjusted if need be.
To that end:
March Meeting Cancelled. Logistical issues with online, plus many people still getting settled into different patterns with children home, possibly working from home, and everything else that is going on with this.
Expect online only meeting in April as that will still be in the 8 week CDC guidance.
May and June currently are planned to be both in person and online - but to be evaluated closer to dates regarding the in person portion.
Are you interested in presenting a topic? Our monthly SQL User Group meetings is an excellent platform to practice and get comfortable with speaking in front of groups. We encourage and foster an environment of learning, networking and growth. Have an idea you would like to present, send us a message and we will follow up with you. We welcome all ideas and at any skill set level.
Our meetings start at 6:00p.m. for food and networking. About 6:30p.m. we kick off with announcements and then start the presentation, usually about 6:45p.m. Still can't get enough? meet us afterwards at Kona Grill (across the street) for more networking and SQL talk.
See you on the last Thursday of the month!
