Choose this month’s topic: Database app, or a beginner app tutorial?

Details

Let’s start off the new year by deciding, as a group, what topics we’ll cover!

During the last meeting, there was interest in two different topics:

  1. Learning how to build iOS apps that stored data in a database, and

  2. Tutorials for people new to iOS programming, or even programming in general

I’m ready to cover either one at the next couple of Tampa iOS Meetups, so I put it to you — what would YOU like to see covered? Let me know with YOUR vote, either in the comments or via email to joey@joeydevilla.com, and I’ll make it happen!

---

As always at Tampa iOS Meetups, this is a “code along with me” exercise. That means you’ll need to bring a Mac laptop with Xcode 10 installed. You’ll probably also want to bring an iOS device along, although this exercise should run just fine in the Simulator.

Nobody learns well on an empty stomach, so we’ll provide pizza, soft drinks, and water, courtesy of my employer, our venue-provider and sponsor: Sourcetoad! (You’re also free to bring your own food if you have specific dietary needs, or if pizza isn’t your thing.)
