About our Speakers:
Teri Reuter energizes her clients to level up as innovators, motivators, and team builders. Combining her experience in psychological counseling with an understanding of communication, she coaches leaders in business, manufacturing, technology, and social impact organizations to approach their work with empathy, curiosity, and a sense of joy.

After teaching communication at universities in the US and Germany, Teri became interested in how people value themselves and understand their options through conversations and self-talk. Teri co-authored Strength-Centered Counseling with Dr. Colin Ward, introducing techniques and language that helping professionals need when working from the perspective of possibilities, strengths, and well-being.

Teri graduated from the University of Florida with a BA and an MA in Communication. Fascinated by how communication influences behavior and mindset, she continued her study at Oakland University, earning an MA in Counseling. Teri is a Board Certified Coach, with specializations in Executive Leadership, Health and Wellness, and Personal and Life Coaching, working with clients in both English and German.

Denise Burkard is a developer of people and loves helping others bring their best selves to work each day. She provides a results-oriented approach by using her experience in talent and learning, combined with a client-centric mentality. Denise provides her clients with training, tools, and support to unleash their potential to own their careers, build strong relationships, and find focus to do what matters most to them.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Denise was the Managing Director for Learning and Development at BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting). In that capacity she led the team responsible for performance and development programs for the 18,000 person workforce. Prior to BearingPoint, Denise spent her early career with Arthur Andersen. During her tenure at Andersen, Denise worked in many positions and functions starting as a CPA and migrating through finance, recruitment, operations and human resources roles. As Partner, she held the global leadership position in Human Resources for the Business Consulting practice. Denise’s experience included a multi-year assignment to Santiago, Chile to manage the post-acquisition integration of a 700 person accounting firm.

Denise holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development from the George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia. She is currently in the midst of Yoga Teacher Certification.
