Securing the Connected Car

Using recent real-world examples, will discuss the opportunities and challenges of connected cars. We will discuss benefits for manufacturers and their customers as well as some of the security risks involved. Finally, we will cover best practices for delivering over-the-air software updates.

Bio

Drew Moseley is a Solutions Architect at Northern Tech, and is part of the Mender.IO open source project for secure over-the-air updates to connected Linux devices. His professional interests are IoT, Embedded Linux, the Yocto Project and device security. He has spoken at the Tampa Hackerspace, All System Go! and the Embedded Systems Conference.
