Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) is a group for community connections. The goal is to connect anyone interested in becoming an ESL teacher with current ESL teachers. Families and friends are welcome too. This is a great way to meet other local teachers or traveling teachers and welcome everyone with open arms. Join the fun! We discuss how the ESL lifestyle is possible, share tips and suggestions for classroom props, teaching strategies, ESL practices, classroom backgrounds, mobile classroom experience, traveling while teaching, teaching from home, setting your own hours, avoiding teacher burn out, effective use of TPR (total physical response) while teaching, psychology of teaching, student feedback, classroom management, and enjoying new friends and community. We have Q&A discussions to raise the level of understanding and knowledge of the group. We have guided craft projects to make DIY reward systems and props. We share experiences of how props are best used to enrich our online teaching classrooms. In addition to learning and sharing, we will make a positive impact in local communities (park clean up, etc).
Free to attend. Healthy Food or Hydration to share is welcome. Donations accepted if you feel in alignment with abundance.
