Dragon boating is a fun team sport that has become very popular around the world. It involves a 40 foot boat of 20 paddlers all paddling together to move the boat through water. For the past 20 years dragon boating has grown in the breast cancer survivor community. It has become a way for breast cancer survivors to become fit, share their experiences, and support one another. Team SOS is a breast cancer survivors' dragon boat team out of Lake Parsippany, NJ. We practice every Monday night at 6PM beginning around April every year. This is a great and supportive group of woman ages 30-70 at all levels of fitness. We also have "supporters" on our team so it is not required that you are a breast cancer survivor. We are always looking for women who are looking to enjoy a water sport, meet new friends, and get fit as a side benefit. New members are welcome and no paddling experience is necessary. We provide everything you will need. Come out and see what we are all about. You won't regret it!
