What we're about

TeamAIDAsha is a beginner-friendly marathon/half-marathon training and fundraising program jointly organized by the volunteers from Boston/MIT chapters of Association for India's Development (AID) and Asha for Education. We train runners for their full or half marathon races and runners raise donations for AID and Asha. Both beginner and experienced runners are welcome.

Tuesday track workout

Harvard Stadium / McCurdy Track

Hello runners, Second track workout of the season... We know the time is a bit tricky for many of you, but please try to arrive by 6:15PM to start warming up (running a few laps on the track). We will do the speed workout sessions on the tracks after the warm-up. This will be a great way for you to improve your pace for the long runs. Getting there: This location is on bus route, and a few minutes walk from Harvard Square T stop. See google map for details. Baystate (Lowell) half-marathon with TeamAIDAsha

Hello gang, RSVP to this meetup if you would like to run with TeamAIDAsha at the Baystate half-marathon at Lowell, MA, or you would like to cheer our runners on the sidelines. This meetup event is used for a tentative headcount and keep you posted as the date gets closer. Logistics for the race day • Runners: please try to arrive by 7:00AM to avoid delays, especially if you are picking up the bib on Sunday. Make sure to follow the pre-race briefing notes for leading up to the race date and follow coach's advice for staying warm. • Please wear layers of cloth to stay warm. Try to wear our orange shirts on top if you have it so that we can spot each other :-) . We start with 2/3-miles run/walk in April every year, increase mileage 10% per week and reach the full or half marathon distance by October. Anyone is welcome to RSVP and join us for the group runs up to four time with no obligations. We request formal registrations after attending four group runs. Marine Corps Marathon with TeamAIDAsha

Hello, RSVP to this meetup if you would like to use one of the TeamAIDAsha charity runner slots for the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) in Washington DC. This meetup event is used for a tentative headcount. We will contact you with more details on registration etc after you RSVP here. Please make sure to arrive in DC on Friday before the marathon weekend to pick up the runners packet and join the team dinner on Saturday evening (26th Oct, 5:30PM). We recommend return trip on Monday.
