As a designer you're always looking for opportunities to take your career one step further, to impress people with your creations. But how do you do that? How do you stand out in a world where technology has allowed people without any design experience to create fine designs?
During our third meetup, three of our best designers will tell you what helped them grow their career as a designer and how this is visible in their everyday work.
// Talk #1 // - Isa van der Brugge
"Am I able to tell my client what's best for their business?!" The design world is full of young people, including me. Although it's very common to be a designer in your twenties, I still feel uncomfortable from time to time. In this talk, I will elaborate on this question and how I manage to come across confidently.
// Talk #2 // - Charlie Duong
My biggest professional and personal highlight of 2018 was moving to The Netherlands. I draw my design inspiration from my experiences. Travel has taught me to not only look at the world in a different way but at design as well. I’ll tell you exactly how, and what the impact on my work is.
// Talk #3 // - Sanne Schouten
I started at Label A as a UX design trainee and got to the chance to take the lead in doing usability tests. Collecting all this knowledge made us, and our clients, want to know even more, especially about the end users. That is how our UX research team was born. I now lead the smallest team with the biggest voice; the one of the user. I’m eager to tell you everything about it!
