What we're about

Tech Foundations Louisville is a meetup open to anyone interested in introductory-level topics in technology. This group is dedicated toward those that have some exposure technology and may be new to the industry or hoping to get into it. Our goal is to have speakers and discussion topics that are relevant to everyone interested in technology, whether they're new or an industry veteran. We will have a few minutes before each event to socialize followed by a topic discussion each month.

Hiring Manager Panel - Featuring Chad Green and Larry Briggs

Join us for a panel Q&A discussion where we demystify what's going on behind the scenes when you apply for a job. What do employers' processes look like? What are hiring managers looking for? What advice do they have and what common mistakes do they see? We'll be joined by a couple hiring managers from Louisville who will take your questions about getting into the technology industry. Brian Luerman will moderate and offer up a few introductory questions, but the majority of time will be open to your questions. This is a virtual meeting over Zoom, so please check for the Zoom link when it's time for it to begin. Chad Green is a manager, software developer, architect, community leader, Microsoft MVP, and most importantly a father and husband. Chad works as the Director of Software Development for ScholarRx developing an affordable, lifelong digital-learning platform for medical students and physicians everywhere. Over his career spanning three decades, Chad has managed groups from 3 to 63, worked on projects in a wide range of markets including education, healthcare, military, government, workforce management, financial services, chemical research, and electronic commerce. Being a big believer in giving back and wanting to ensure there are cool events for others, Chad founded and chairs the annual Code PaLOUsa conference, organizers the Louisville .NET Meetup, Louisville Azure Meetup, monthly Louisville Tech Leader Coffee and Discussions, and Louisville Remote Workers Meetup, and helps other groups like Louisville Tech Ladies and Louisville IT Happy Hour. You hear watch Chad weekdays on the Twitch TaleLearnCode channel. Bio for Larry Briggs coming soon.
