Tech Foundations Louisville is a meetup open to anyone interested in introductory-level topics in technology. This group is dedicated toward those that have some exposure technology and may be new to the industry or hoping to get into it. Our goal is to have speakers and discussion topics that are relevant to everyone interested in technology, whether they're new or an industry veteran. We will have a few minutes before each event to socialize followed by a topic discussion each month.
Chad Green is the Data & Solutions Architect for ProgressiveHealth, founder of Code PaLOUsa, and organizer of several technical user groups and he will be talking about software craftsmanship. As a new developer, knowing language syntax is import; but just as important is understanding what software craftsmanship is. Chad will talk about what the software craftsmanship movement is all about and why it is important. He will explain important craftmanship terms and concepts such as code smells, DRY, and SOLID and how you can use these as you getting started to really jump start your software development career. Even if you have been developing for a while, this session will be useful to brush up on how not be just a developer but how to be a professional developer.
Come join us for a Q&A panel discussion centered around the world of design! We'll be joined by three talented locals who will take your questions about their journey in the world(s) of UI, UX, product and web design, clean code, human-centered design, and much more. We'll be joined by:
