Stephanie was born in northern Indiana, raised in central Indiana, and attended college in southern Indiana. After graduating from IU Bloomington in 2007 (with a degree in Telecommunications - Interactive Media and Design and minor in Fine Arts), she promptly moved to New York City. There she worked for three years as a freelance and full-time corporate web designer (and spent a short stint working in a comic book shop on St. Marks Street). In April of 2010 she bid farewell to the city in search of greener spaces, and ended up in Louisville, KY where she started out with a small web design firm called Blackstone Media (now Blackstone Digital). After four years designing websites for local businesses, she moved on to her current gig as a member of the UI / UX team at Heartland Payment Systems in Jeffersonville, IN, where she is currently positioned as Sr. Manager of Product Design.
Kevin is the UX Director at Forest Giant, a local leader for IxDA Louisville, and formerly a conference chair for MidwestUX in 2016. He helps collaborative teams and clients stay human-centered and create strategic solutions in design and technology projects. Kevin has provided UX design, strategy and research expertise as a project contributor, consultant, and design organization leader. Through his career, Kevin has had the opportunity to work on a breadth of challenging projects spanning diverse industries for non-profits, startups and fortune 500 companies.
Lelia is a full-stack product manager and product designer at Humana and a Louisville native. Since 2015, she has worked in the Digital Experience Center (DEC), an internal consulting group in Humana that aims to transform the company into a human-centered, tech-driven organization. The DEC develops software rapidly and flexibly, using agile methodologies and XP practices to do so. In her time at the DEC, Lelia has developed a strong background in full-stack product design. As a designer, she is responsible for generating deliverables, but also for big-picture design thought and strategy. In her newer role as a product manager, Lelia manages and prioritizes product backlogs, writes user stories, balances business goals with user needs, and collaborates closely with product teams, business partners, and stakeholders to bring products to life.
