Topic of Main Talk - Values, vision, and ventures: setting yourself and your team up for success

As the year 2021 comes to a close, many leaders are strategising for the next year and how to make it a successful year for their teams and organisations. Through all this work, it can be difficult to carve out time for personal reflection, growth, and development. What’s going to make you successful as a leader? What do you bring, and what do you need, to be a great leader next year?

In this talk, we’ll review strategies that leaders can utilise to focus their values and principles, and set themselves up for success in their role as technical- and people leaders. In addition, we’ll cover how to transfer those values and principles to working with teams, and use them to support alignment on teams.

You’ll walk away with practical tips that you can apply for yourself and your work with your teams to reflect & get ready for all the ventures that lie ahead for you.

Lena Reinhard is an engineering leadership coach and consultant passionate about helping leaders grow, increase their effectiveness, and improve their organisation's performance and health.

In her 15+ year career, she’s been growing engineering leaders and building high-performing co-located and distributed engineering organisations during hypergrowth, most recently as VP Engineering with Travis CI and CircleCI. She’s also a former software startup founder and CEO with a cross-functional background, bringing a unique perspective at the intersection of people, technology, and business.

Lena is an acclaimed international keynote speaker on topics like leadership, DevOps transformation, and organisational scale. Additionally, she is currently pursuing a degree in psychology, continuing her long-standing dedication to the effective design and evolution of systems of people and tech.
