18:30 Presentation: Testing is a Team Problem – Janet Gregory and Lisa Crispin
Testing has been seen as an afterthought or a bottleneck by many for so long. As more organizations around the world want to move towards continuous delivery, and as our systems get more complex, a lot of testers, teams and customers are getting stressed out.
When the whole team takes responsibility for testing and quality, we can delivery small increments of value to our customers frequently, at a sustainable and stress-reduced pace. In this talk, Janet and Lisa will explain how the whole team working together improves product quality.
Learning takeaways:
- Ways to encourage team members in all roles and specialties to own quality, learn and use testing skills
- Some leading practices to build quality in and reduce cycle time
- How testers, developers, product owners and others can shift their mindsets to help the team solve testing problems and improve quality.
Janet Gregory and Lisa Crispin are absolute legends in the testing world. They are co-authors of Agile Testing Condensed: A Brief Introduction (LeanPub 2019), More Agile Testing: Learning Journeys for the Whole Team (Addison-Wesley 2014), and Agile Testing: A Practical Guide for Testers and Agile Teams (Addison-Wesley, 2009), the Live Lessons Agile Testing Essentials video course, and “Agile Testing for the Whole Team” 3-day training course.
