The Art of Data Journalism with The New York Times, Financial Times, & Reuters

Details
I'm not sure if you've noticed, but the world is awash in data. Distilling all of those data into clear, compelling stories is the job of an increasingly important group of journalists and developers. For this Meetup, we'll discuss the art of data journalism with masters of the craft, including:
- Lindsey Rogers Cook, Editor, Digital Storytelling at The New York Times
- Brooke Fox, Data Journalist at The Financial Times
- Ashlyn Still, Data Visualization Developer at Reuters
Max Willens of Digiday has graciously agreed to moderate. As always, we'll follow this rough schedule:
6:30pm - Arrive, eat, and talk to each other
7:00pm - Panel discussion
8:00pm - More talking to each other
8:30pm - Leave
You can also expect a thoughtful array of pizza and beer. Please use the hashtag #NYMedia to submit your questions for the Q&A portion of the panel. We look forward to seeing you all soon!
- J.J.
*Important Note: Please RSVP with your first and last name so that SeatGeek's building security can let you in.
