When: Mondays-Thursdays from 8AM-11AM

What you will learn: Have you ever dreamed of building your own app? Are you looking to make a change in technology, your community, the world, or building out that crazy idea of your uncle's? Tech Talent South’s Code Immersion programs are the perfect launching point for those who are passionate, persistent, and eager to learn. Our eight week course covers the fundamentals of web development and programming. Students can expect to be proficient in the concepts listed below and more specifically, have a strong foundational base in Ruby on Rails. In addition to our core curriculum, our guest speaker series, company tours, and other community events put students in front of professionals who are excited about getting to know them and connecting them with potential opportunities. The technology opportunities are continuously expanding and our Code Immersion programs are a great way to dive in and start doing something !

· Ruby on Rails

Get on board with this insanely popular and practical open source web application framework that has been used to build tools like Twitter, Basecamp, Hulu, Groupon, and Shopify.

· Domain Modeling

Learn the crucial skill of modeling resources and relationships in a dynamic, database-backed web application.

· HTTP and "RESTful" Design

Understand how the crazy world of the Internet works and how superior web applications are designed.

· HTML/CSS Learn how these languages are used to paint beautiful websites and user experiences.

· Javascript and AJAX Use languages and techniques to make your web application interactive and seamless.

· How to utilize APIs Learn how to integrate your web application with tools like Facebook and Google Maps.
