September Meetup: Aloha! Hawaii! (Theme Change)

Note: This meetup was previously themed "Tech Valley Uke Greatest Hits".

Sylva and I just got back from two amazing weeks in Oahu, Hawaii!!!! (OMG it's amazing!) We have a lot to share.

In light of this we decided to change the theme to Hawaii. We attended two kanikapilas on Waikiki beach that were amazing; we visited the Kamaka and Ka'nilea ukulele factories; we visited the custom Ko'olau shop; and also The Ukulele Site setup shop and store; we had a two hour private lesson with an ukulele master; we met lots of ukulele luminaries; we saw Taimane in concert; and more....

We'll have some new Hawaiian songs to share including "Aloha 'Oe". Lots of technique to cover from watching other players and the lesson we had with Aaron Crowell from Hawaii Music School (formerly with The Ukulele Site).

We also have a signed copy of Taimane's most recent CD to give away.
