Tech for Good Live vs The Climate Crisis.

Details

The world is (literally) burning and there are plenty of us working on solutions, and more of us who want to know the best thing we can do to help.

Let's get in one room and try to work on some things together. This is a little different to our usual events, because we want to make a bunch of change, so we'll have a load of short talks from local activists and community groups so we can find out what's going on and how we can help. Then, our friend Richard Wilson has a new project that we think you'll like and he wants your help, so we're teaming up to have a creative ideas session.

LIGHTENING TALKS
5 minute talks from local community activists and changemakers talking about their projects and letting you know how you can get involved.

  • Eve Holt - Co-Founder and Director, Happen Together CIC and Chorlton Labour Councillor, Manchester City Council. Her ‘big things’ for 2019-20 are tackling climate change, neutralising toxicity and powering up womens’ and girls’ participation, power and representation in Greater Manchester and in politics more broadly. @evefrancisholt

  • Plastic Shed - Rachel is a social entrepreneur tackling plastic waste and community resilience. Founder of Plastic Shed, filmmaker and former Year Here social innovation fellow. @Plastic_Shed
