Props to DevOps!

DevOps has definitely secured a spot in the "top 10 tech buzzwords" list, and is on every tech professional's vocabulary these days. We know it has drastically changed how cloud applications and infrastructure are deployed and managed, and can speed up new features delivery and application releases significantly for organizations that "do it right". But let's face it: do you REALLY get what it means, or how you can truly "do it right"? Most people have somewhat confused and sometimes contradictory impressions of what it really is, or how to fully achieve its potential to maximize effectiveness.
So what IS DevOps really? How are organizations using it to drive productivity and efficiency? How are DevOps teams structured and where do they fit within the overall organization? What are key best-practices and processes to be aware of? How do you implement it within your organization? Where is DevOps headed in the future, and how will this impact how we do business?
Join us for a panel discussion with some of the best DevOps teams in town to learn more about the DevOps world and how to best leverage it to grow your career and your organization.
Panelists include:
• James Ishee, Manager of Product Operations at Hootsuite
• Jake Lin, Senior Release Engineer at Elastic Path
• Richard Clark, Systems Architect at Crafty Penguins
• Diraj Goel, Growth Advisor at BC Tech
• Moderated by Wim Kerkhoff, CEO at Kerkhoff Technologies

This event is powered by SIGnature Recruiting (http://sigrecruiting.com/)
"Since 2010, SIGnature Recruiting has been pairing exceptional people with short-term contracts and long-term careers in Vancouver’s flourishing IT industry. We have refined a process that focuses on quality over quantity. Because recruiting is a science and an art, not a numbers game. We weigh cultural fit and personality as heavily as skills and experience. Average won’t cut it. We only deal in excellence. Our team of tech recruiters have the foresight to look beyond one transaction. We think in terms of longevity and future potential, instead. We forge relationships that mean more than signing an offer. Essentially, because we care.”
