Many of our members have been involved with IT projects that involve a requirements gathering process to ensure end-user needs are captured correctly. In most cases, requirements are captured in writing. On rare occasions, rudimentary mockups are used to bridge the gap between what the development team hears and what the end-users are really saying! Nevertheless, frequent losses in translation are common and typically do not manifest themselves until later in the project…leading to delays and increased project costs.

Our (virtual) guest speaker Esmeralda Britton (http://cr.linkedin.com/pub/esmeralda-britton-pmp/2/628/996) is a project manager with Procter & Gamble (P&G), currently working in Costa Rica. Esmeralda will share with us insights on how to overcome this issue using Visualization and Simulation tools like iRise. Esmeralda has over 25 years of IT experience, including nine (9) years at P&G. She has held leadership positions throughout her career within and outside of the IT industry and is a certified Project Management Professional.
BDPA is delighted to have Esmeralda sharing her expertise and wisdom with attendees of this meetup. Anyone … regardless of race or color … interested in tech is welcome!
