Details
BDPA (http://www.bdpa.org/group/CI) hosts ‘Cincinnati Blacks In Technology’ to collaborate with the vibrant community of like-minded technology professionals of color in our city. The doors are wide open for those folks who are passionate about all things technical. Our meetups encourage fun, socializing and high level talks on a variety of technology topics. IT recruiters and IT job seekers (http://www.ITDiversityCareers.com) are both welcome!
Are you an (aspiring) entrepreneur? The challenge of launching a business can be a daunting one, especially for minorities. There are many obstacles to overcome and, without access to resources, the road gets long and many will fail. Your chances of success can be significantly improved by understanding the keys to innovating and traversing the entrepreneurship landscape.

Our guest speaker this month, Rodney Swope (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/rodney-d-swope/1/2b6/754/en), serves as Director at the Minority Business Accelerator (http://www.cincinnatichamber.com/Member_Resources/Minority_Business_Accelerator/Minority_Business_Accelerator.aspx#.VOKGoy4rKug) (MBA), an economic development initiative of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. The MBA accelerates the development of sizable minority businesses and strengthens and expands the regional minority entrepreneurial community. The MBA leverages and supports the work of other organizations within Cincinnati USA’s economic and innovation ecosystems as a means to identify and promote minority entrepreneurs and connect them with the resources and opportunities that will help them grow.
