Topic: Useful categories for programmers. Feel like you've read every monad tutorial and still don't grok it? Remain unconvinced about the benefits of functional programming? In this talk we'll discuss the philosophy behind functional programming, and explore several categories that help solve real world programming problems.
Bio: Ben Kyrlach is a computer game nerd, armchair mathematician, and college dropout. When he's not trying to convince you that Haskell is the one true way to program, he's probably off doing ivory tower mathematics for his own amusement.
