TechLunch #18: Scaling your tech team

Public group

Registration is mandatory here:

This TechLunch will be about Scaling your tech team. We're happy to have speakers from Stripe, Dailymotion and Algolia on stage.

• Vincent Voyer (Engineering Manager at Algolia) - From one to sixty: scaling a productive engineering organisation in four years
Algolia went from one to 40 engineers in four years,
scaling this engineering organisation while remaining productive in our daily work was a challenge
and we want to share everything we learned while doing so.

• Stanislas Polu (Software Engineer at Stripe) - Engineering at Stripe's scale
In this talk, I'll describe the unique self-organized nature of the Stripe engineering organization I discovered when I joined 3 years ago, how we out-scaled it, and the many challenges of scale we face as Stripe grows.

• Stanislas Chollet (Tech Lead APIs at Dailymotion) - Gazr - How we simplified the on-boarding process of our engineers, project switching and CD/CI pipelines of our 500 repositories.
At Dailymotion, we take care of the mental health of our engineers, as they work on over 500+ repositories, developed with more than 50 technological stacks. Therefore we decided to re-think our way to deal with the complexity of our internal codebase.

We will have three talks of 15mn each (with a 5mn break for questions in between), followed by a more casual networking time.

Note that this event is scheduled during lunch. We will have food for all the registered persons, but try not to be late so we do not waste.

Talks will be in English, recorded and published on YouTube afterwards.
