Details

Join us for the first meetup for Techfugees Ireland hosted by Dogpatch Labs and running as part of Dublin Startup week.

In 2016, Techfugees Ireland was launched by Lye Ogunsanya through a Hackathon at DCU to develop groundbreaking solutions to promote refugee inclusion, integration, and self-reliance.

Today in 2019, we want to resume the work and continue supporting ideas and technology for refugees. So come along to hear more about our story and how technology can be used in humanitarian scenarios.

Agenda:
========
6 - 6:30 pm: Registration and networking

6:30 - 7 pm: "Big Data For Refugees" by Suad Aldarra
(Introducing Techfugees, examples of technical solutions and ongoing researches around refugees, highlighting RefugeesAre.info: News analysis platform tackling the issue of Xenophobia against refugees around the world. )

7 - 7.30 pm: "Humanitarian Innovation- The New Frontier" by Lye Ogunsanya

7:30 - 8 pm: wrapping up, what's next and networking
