19:00 - Mazgan-gineering - reversing A/C for fun and home automation - Gal Frishman. Nowadays home automation systems are getting common, however, they are typically expensive and have limited integration options. In this talk, I'll present how I turned my old air conditioner "smart" using low-cost hardware. I'll take you through the steps and challenges of reverse engineering its remote control protocol and turning this knowledge into an open home-automation ready solution.

This talk presents research analysis of the latest methods used by Brazilian cybercriminals to commit financial fraud in the region: Remote Overlay, Advanced Fake Browsers, Malicious Boleto Browser Extensions, Proxy Changers, and Image-Based Phishing; and will give technical details on each method.
