Season's Eatings: Demos and Drinks with Tech in Motion

Details

December. A month of many holidays and probably way too much food and drink. And why temper yourself? Tech in Motion is joining the fun by throwing a demo and drinks party! In the spirit of gluttony, we have four food-based startups demoing their awesome and delicious apps! We’ll also have Ale Syndicate, a local Chicago brewery onsite sampling their beer!

We'll be featuring TableSAVVY (https://www.tablesavvy.com/), Every Last Morsel (http://www.everylastmorsel.com/), Peckish (http://peckish.co/), MakeItFor.US (https://makeitfor.us/), and Ale Syndicate (http://alesyndicate.com/).

About TableSAVVY
TableSAVVY, in partnership with Chicago Magazine, is a "last minute" reservation service, helping fine dining restaurants fill "last minute" empty tables for the night, while giving spontaneous consumers 30% off to fill these tables. At any time throughout the day, our restaurants post "last minute" empty tables they have for the night, allowing TableSAVVY users to pay a small $5 reservation fee, and receive 30% off their meal that night. We match "last minute" empty seats with spontaneous consumers!

About Jeremy Klein (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/jeremy-klein/11/679/430)
I developed the concept for TableSAVVY in 2011; and since then have built a team of awesome partners around me to help me take this concept off the ground in 2013. I entered the start-up world in 2011, coming off of 7+ years in the finance world at Morgan Stanley, and after catching the "Start-Up Bug" there was no looking back. Living in Chicago for 7 years now, I grew up in Cleveland, where my roots and my sports allegiances remain. As you can probably expect, I am obsessed with the food scene in Chicago, and if I had to choose any "Non-TableSAVVY" restaurants as favorites, I would probably say Bavettes "food wise", and Big Star "fun wise".

About Every Last Morsel
Every Last Morsel is a community marketplace for locally grown food -- like an Etsy for growers. We provide small farms with record-keeping tools and easy-to-use sales outlets that allow them to focus on doing what they love -- growing food.

About Todd Jones (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/todd-jones/12/300/69b)
Todd is the founder of Every Last Morsel. He's lived a varied and extensive life, traveling around America on a bike (great stories for when you're getting a beer with him), founding his own company, running a successful Kickstarter and now putting ELM out into the world.
