Michael Boeke (https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelboeke) is a designer, product guy, and the co-founder of Synap, a new CRM platform for account managers. He focuses on applying a designer's approach and modern technology to shake-up traditional (boring) industries.

He is a startup veteran who has built products for the web since the dot com era. Before Synap, he managed products at online payments company Braintree, which was acquired by PayPal. Prior to that, he helped launch the first SaaS CRM platform for hedge funds at Backstop, and designed the CarePages social support platform for hospital patients, which is now part of Everyday Health.

Michael lives, works, and runs countless miles in the wonderful city of Chicago.

John Pletz (https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-pletz-42358) covers technology and venture capital at Crain’s Chicago Business., where he has been a reporter since 2007. He previously covered tech companies at the Austin American-Statesman in Austin, Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois.
