It seems as if there is a new type of technology set to dominate the future of consumer technology, Virtual Reality (VR)! Virtual reality uses computer technology to create a simulated, three-dimensional world. In a virtual reality environment, a user experiences immersion, or the feeling of being inside and a part of that world.

Tech in Motion (http://www.techinmotionevents.com/) Silicon Valley is ecstatic to host a virtual reality demo event featuring Jaunt! Don’t miss this stimulating VR Demo by Jaunt and to hear from Tony Parisi, co-creator of Virtual Reality Modeling Language.

Tony Parisi (http://www.linkedin.com/in/tparisi),an entrepreneur and career CTO/software architect. He has developed international standards and protocols and created noteworthy software products. Tony is the founder of Vizi, an interactive agency developing 3D applications for web, mobile and the new generation of virtual reality systems. He is the co-creator of the VRML and X3D ISO standards for networked 3D graphics, and continues to innovate in 3D technology. Tony is the author WebGL Up and Running (2012) and Programming 3D Applications in HTML5 and WebGL (2014).

Jaunt VR (http://www.jauntvr.com/) is leading innovation in the realm of Cinematic VR and its world-class team is creating next-generation technology for the most immersive entertainment experience ever. Jaunt's technology provides an end-to-end solution for creating cinematic VR experiences. Jaunt have developed an integrated suite of hardware and software tools, and are developing 360-degree, 3-D content for VR viewing devices such as the Oculus Rift.

Jaunt CTO, Arthur van Hoff, will be giving our members more insight to the future of Cinematic VR. Please join us for a demonstration of Jaunt's content, where you'll feel as though you're in the front row for your favorite sporting event, watching a concert from on-stage, in the middle of a movie, and more.

Arthur van Hoff (http://share.bf.vu/1mrJZKU) is serial entrepreneur and was most recently CTO at Flipboard. He started his career in Silicon Valley at Sun Microsystems where he was an early developer of the Java programming language. Since then he has started several successful companies. Arthur has expertise in machine learning, big data, mobile applications, 3D printing, and computational photography. He is originally from the Netherlands and has a master’s degree in Computer Science from Strathclyde University in Glasgow.

DODOcase (http://www.dodocase.com/) believes the next million VR experiences will come from mobile devices and has made it possible for the masses to explore VR in a cost effective, attainable way with the DODOcase Smartphone Virtual Reality Viewer (http://www.dodocase.com/products/google-cardboard-vr-goggle-toolkit) The company's build-your-own kit costs only $25 and will allow anyone the ability to experience VR. Inspired by the Google cardboard kit announced at the I/O conference, DODOcase was quick to act by designing and developing its own version of the viewer and a VR app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dodocase.vr) (in beta) to go with it. Since June 26th, the company has sold more than 12,000 units to VR enthusiasts and developers around the world.
