AGM BBQ Social

We are coming to the end our Technical Communication Peer2Peer season until September 2017. For our last event of the Fall 2016 - Spring/Summer 2017 season, we would like to invite you to our BBQ and social at Communitech's rooftop patio.

Additionally, as some of you know, some of the champions of this P2P are members of the Society for Technical Communicators.

The Society for Technical Communicators - Southern Ontario Chapter will hold its Annual General Meeting starting at 6:30pm and ending at about 7pm. If you are a member in good standing, you will have the opportunity to elect the people who will lead this chapter on the executive board (President, Secretary and Treasurer).

In fact, if you have been a member in good standing with STC-SOC for a minimum of 2 years, you can become a candidate. Indicate your interest in serving as an officer on the executive board and your name will be included as part of our vote. Even if you do not qualify to serve on the board or not an STC member, you can still volunteer to help our chapter.

If you are new to the workforce or would like to change careers, volunteering with our chapter will give you the opportunity to learn new skills that you can add to your resume. Volunteering also allows you to network and make new connections that may prove beneficial in the future. Many of the people on council have volunteered with the chapter for many years and would welcome new people with fresh ideas. Start your networking on June 28th by attending our Annual General Meeting. Mark your calendars today!
