What we're about

This is a Historical Walks group located in the South Durham and Tees Valley area for anyone interested in the history of villages and towns. Walks are taken at normal walking pace at a distance for 2- 3 miles around a village or town. Commentary on the history of the location is given by an experienced local historian and Guided Walk leader. Pictures are also available to illustrate how the village or location has changed. After the walk we normally repair to a Cafe or pub for refreshment - but this is optional. There is a nominal fee of £2.50 per person. Currently meeting on Thursdays and Sundays - other enthusiasts are welcome.
