Gili Yankovitch, the CEO & Chief Security Researcher at Nyx Security Solutions (http://www.nyxsecuritysolutions.com/), will review the dirtyc0w vulnerability (CVE-2016-5195 (https://dirtycow.ninja/)) in the Linux kernel memory subsystem. This vulnerability allows an unprivileged user to gain write access to otherwise read-only memory mappings. This talk will explore both the kernel vulnerability and its user space exploit techniques.
