** YOUR MEMBERSHIP TO THIS GROUP WILL BE WITHDRAWN FOR BREAKING ANY OF THESE RULES. THIS IS A LARGE GROUP AND WE NEED RELIABLE PLAYERS FOR THIS TO MAKE SENCE FOR TANYA (the host)
** CANCELLATIONS: If you have to cancel it’s your responsibility to find a sub. So DO NOT RSVP if there is a possibility that you will have to cancel. Reliability is a must for our members of this group.
** NO SHOWS: If you reserve a spot and fail to show. (even if you have creative excuses) your membership to this group will 100% be removed
** RSVP LIMITS: 1 match per week per player (host excluded) unless there is an open spot 3 days before a match that has not been filled then feel free to grab it.
** OBVIOUS STUFF: Play at your own risk, Be on time. Bring new balls and a fun attitude. Follow court rules.
** LESS THAN 4 PLAYERS: we will play Australia style. The match will not be canceled. This almost never happens.
** TANYAS HOME COURTS: When playing at Tanya’s home courts, please do not arrive more than 5 mins early as the court is reserved at a particular time and no waiting allowed. Tanya has to be on the court with you. And it's a high-security building. The courts at Tanya’s home courts are in a high-rise condominium on the Wilshire Corridor with a lot of security please be courteous.
USTA LEVEL DEFINITION:
3.5: Has achieved improved stroke dependability with directional control on moderate shots, but still lacks depth and variety. Starting to exhibit more aggressive netplay. You probably played on a high school tennis team and have been working on your game seriously for 2 - 3 years.
4.0: Has dependable strokes, including directional control and depth on both forehand and backhand sides on moderate shots, plus the ability to use lobs, overheads, approach shots, and volleys with some success. You most likely have played on a high school varsity team and devoted 5 years to seriously developing your tennis skills.
